Whitefield community champion meets the King

Community Champion, Rochelle Gardner B.E.M. has been busy as always over the last few months including, meeting The King at her company Head Office in Bradford, and organising a Chanukah lighting event in store with The Mayor of Bury attending.
Rochelle said, “It was a great privilege to meet with the King recently, after receiving my B.E.M. earlier in 2022. He had a few words of encouragement and mentioned how important our community work was.”
As community champion for Morrisons supermarket in Whitefield, Rochelle has been active in lots of other local projects recently, including;
• Raising £354 for Prestwich Street Kitchen by setting up a Community Giving Tree in the foyer with differently priced baubles on them, that customers could pay for at the checkouts.
• Selling more than 12,000 donuts over Chanukah to support the Jewish community during the festival, which lasts for 8 days.
• Helping with additional sales of the 2023 Charity calendar for Bury Hospice, with her friendly enthusiasm.
• Continued to support a lot of food banks and pantries local to the store through customers buying pick-up packs.
