The Victoria Helping Local Causes

With customers staying at home and shielding from the pandemic, The Victoria Walshaw has served over 5000 meals since April 2020 through their takeaway, delivery and collection service. Within the last year, the multi award- winning pub has kindly donated over £1000 from their takeaway sales to “NHS Charities Together” and has provided over 1,400 meals to local hospital staff in conjunction with “Meals 4 The NHS”.

The pub has also worked alongside “Eat Well MCR”, and cooked around 200 meals for the local community, and they didn’t stop there! Each week, 85 meals are cooked and delivered to local projects such as Trinity Food Bank Radcliffe, The Attic Project, and Caritas Red Door, which are distributed to those in our community who need them the most.

The staff at Roch Valley Radio, Baby Basics Bolton & Bury, and the Ramsbottom Ward at Fairfield Hospital all have been provided meals by The Victoria Walshaw.

And in addition to all of this, The Victoria have persevered in helping our community by collecting donations for Porch Boxes and Annabelle’s 7 Sack De-Clutter Challenge, and even made their own donations to local fundraisers at Bleakholt, Residents of East View Summerseat, and Woodbank Cricket Club.

The Victoria told Your Local BURY, “We are looking forward to welcoming you back and serving your favourite dishes whilst we continue to support so many wonderful causes!”
