Local Art Studio Celebrates 1st Year

The Art Studio Summerseat has recently celebrated its first anniversary as an independent art studio; exhibiting and selling a diverse and eclectic range of original local wall art and lifestyle items such as ceramics, jewellery, candles and glassware.

The Studio opened in July 2021 in the garden of the owner and curator June Winsche and it has quickly gathered a loyal following of clients who love to purchase unique art and homeware that is lovingly handmade in the area. What was once a dilapidated outbuilding has now become a beautiful Studio for a huge range of local art. It has been likened to a ‘Hidden Gem’ and ‘Aladdin’s Cave’. All the Artists and Makers who are part of the Studio live in and around Bury and that has become the exclusivity of the studio – there is nothing mass-produced and shipped in, everything is handmade by local artisans.

The Art Studio has been featured in lifestyle monthly editorial magazines such as Lancashire Life recently and also was contacted by Roch Valley Radio Station to have a live interview about its uniqueness and the successful first year.

The studio provides a platform for local artisans to sell their art through the Studio which owner and curator June Winsche will then promote on the website and social media.

The Studio also offers Art Classes led by Artists who sell their art within the studio and these have been an enormous success and frequently sell out. For more information visit: www.theartstudiosummerseat.square. site or even better visit the studio at 114 Railway Street Summerseat, BL9 5QD.
