A long established dental practice in Radcliffe has opened a new practice room this summer. Celebrating over 50 years of service the public, Deansgate Dental Radcliffe like many businesses during the last 18 months has had to adapt and change to make sure their patients were kept safe.
James Hobkirk who joined the practice six years ago told Your Local BURY Magazine, “After an horrendous year where access to dental care was extremely limited and we had to cancel 1, 300 appointments, we knew we had to create more room to see our patients as we were struggling just to fit people into the waiting area and practice rooms. This new room means we can also carry on being a teaching practice, where we have apprentices that spend a year being trained and mentored in a bid to create health care professionals that in turn help our community.”
The phased works also sees the practice having a full front façade lift and a new digital presence with an interactive website.
James is quick to explain that their core provision will always be dental care. “We are striving to care for the most vulnerable and young children first and then contact everyone to get out waiting list down from all those cancelled appointments during the pandemic and making sure these patients get Health Advice and fluoride. Then we can hopefully take on more patients both
private and NHS to make sure Deansgate Dental serves Radcliffe and the borough for many more years to come”
