WEDNESDAY 23rd AUGUST The Halo Panopticon and Cribden Circular Meeting Place: Hud Rake, Haslingden BB4 5AL Time Out: 9am. Time Back 3pm. Route: Haslingden, Halo, Cribden, Rising Bridge, back on Pilgrims’ Way to Haslingden. Distance: 11 miles.

MONDAY 4th SEPTEMBER Kirklees Brook Mill Trail (1st of 2 walks) Meeting Place: Greenmount Old School BL8 4DS Time Out: 8.40am. Time Back: 12.30pm. Route: Greenmount to Elton through Kirklees Valley. Distance: 6 miles.

MONDAY 11th SEPTEMBER West Pennine Way to Turton Tower Meeting Place: behind Greenmount Church BL8 4HF Time Out: 8.40am. Time Back: 3pm. Route: Affetside, Jumbles, Turton Tower back via Edgworth and Hawkshaw. Distance: 12 miles.

WEDNESDAY 20th SEPTEMBER First of 4 walks on the Pilgrims’ Way Meeting Place: Whalley Church Time Out: 9.15am. Time Back 3. 30pm at Haslingden BB4 5AL. Route: Whalley, Great Harwood, Accrington, Baxenden, Haslingden. Distance: 12 miles.

NOTE: EVERY FRIDAY EVENING from 4th August to 8th September, there are 2 Hour guided walks on West Pennine Moors and Bury North. For details visit www.westpennineway.org
