Frank Shatliff kindly updated Your Local BURY Magazine after his Toy appeal in last month’s edition. “I’m so pleased to say the One New Toy Appeal was a resounding success. Thanks to the generous donations from the kindhearted folk across our towns.
Overall, we collected over 600 Christmas presents for Wood St Mission for needy children and their families. Craig, who converted his classic ERF into a Santa sleigh, was met with bags of toys galore and rapturous applause as it drove down the narrow street to the mission. I have to say a special thanks to all who put in the hard work collecting such as Lindsay Roberts, Janet Politi, Dorothy Shatliff and Brenda Fairbrother plus Tesco’s Suzanne Done and Morrison’s Rochelle Gardner and many more for their dedication.”
Franks attention is now being now concentrated on the upcoming event of a new Classic Road Vehicle Road Run here in Prestwich on 10th July. Watch this space for more details!
