Cook Book To Celebrate 30 Years

Bury Hospice will be at the Rock on Saturday the 19th June from 10am to 4pm to celebrate their 30th anniversary and launch the sale of their Bury Hospice Recipe Book. Our recipe book is full of recipes from celebrities, staff, volunteers and patrons which include: Betty`s Rover`s hot pot, Michelle Keegan, Noddy Holder, Cherylee Houston, Mina Anwar and many more. The book was compiled by May Shipperbottom, head of Radcliffe support group for Bury Hospice in memory of our dear friend and colleague Michelle King who sadly passed away suddenly in November of last year. Michelle worked tirelessly in fundraising for Bury Hospice and was responsible for a great many events over the years, Glaston-Bury, Colour Run, Party in the Park to mention but a few. In fact, this years Glaston-Bury will also be held in memory of Michelle. We would personally like to thank everyone for their help in putting the recipe book together: Mays granddaughter Georgia Mort, Noreen Kershaw Hospice Trustee, Celebrities, Hospice staff, volunteers and friends. As a special treat on June 19th there will be quite a few Star Wars characters in attendance and maybe a few celebrities so please come on down and see us.
