Bury Community Hub Welcomes New Café & Sweet Shop

The Community Hub based at Community House, Badger Street Bury has celebrated two new businesses opening recently. Piers & Lee Café and Elegant Confectionary are the latest additions to the building.

Piers & Lee Café had its grand opening by Cllr Sandra Walmsley who said “They offer a great new space for eating in or taking out with delicious ground coffee, specialty teas, food and rustic stone baked pizzas. Pop along and try it out!”

Another recent visitor was Bury North MP James Daly who said “It was brilliant to visit the new Piers & Lee Café this morning. A new fantastic small business in Bury North, please pop along and show them your support!” after visiting the new community hub.
Jason Davenport, owner of the new café told Your Local BURY “At Piers & Lee, we are passionate about supporting our community. We source our produce from local businesses and donate 50p to the Attic Project for every pizza sold. We plan to work with more charities in the future to give back to the community.” The Attic Project is a local charity that supports vulnerable
people and families in the community.

Elegant Confectionery is an old-fashioned sweet shop and will evoke feelings of nostalgia with a charming atmosphere and delicious treats. The Community Hub also offers a range of other services including free display of business cards, hot desking and a meeting room available for rent.
