Another Successful Commercial Road Run

The third annual Prestwich Classic Commercial Road Run took place in July with vintage vehicles taking a 55 mile route visiting mill towns in Lancashire and Yorkshire. The winner of this year’s trophy was a Foden S20 Crew Cab which has been lovingly restored over the last few years.

Organiser Frank Shatliff told Your Local BURY “We had a brilliant day and raised our highest total yet, this year we are pleased to be able to donate £1,120 to the 8th Prestwich Scout Group. The Scouts and their Leaders rose to the challenge of selling the programmes for the event which they did admirably.” He added “I would like to thank all the volunteers who helped on the day with a special mention for Lee Davies and Pete Roberts. Also an extra special thanks to Tesco Prestwich and Karen Bones who have given us such wonderful support for our event.”
