SHIVER ME TIMBERS – GREENHILL PUPILS WIN THE BURY’D TREASURE

Pupils at Greenhill Primary School can look forward to getting new play equipment as thanks for taking part in a pirate adventure game. So many of them took part in the borough-wide Bury’d Treasure that they have won a sports equipment voucher, which the school parliament will use to buy playtime equipment. Children from 30 primary schools took part in the treasure hunts, which were organised by Bury Council in partnership with Public Health. The Bury’d Treasure routes were completed more than 2,700 times over a ten-week period. Families had the opportunity to complete the free treasure hunts in Nuttall Park, Philips Park, Clarence Park, Prestwich Clough, Peel Monument, Burrs Country Park and Close Park.
