Shades of Sentiment

Amiable Mal Hughes is the proud owner of Shades of Sentiment, the fabulous card & gift stall on Radcliffe Market.

Shades of Sentiment

Having moved to the area in 2012, Mal was a regular visitor to the old market and when it closed for refurbishment she noticed there wasn’t a card stall on the temporary outside market.

She decided to fill the gap and started with just a couple of card stands.

“There was a real demand for the cards & other gifts so I applied for a stall on the new market.”

The new stall is now packed full of a fantastic range of quality cards and gifts for all occasions and Mal is hoping to carry on expanding and offering more lines for her customers.

“I’m quite pleased as I have really built up the business and have some great regular customers who I like to give a warm friendly welcome and good bit of banter!” smiled Mal.

“I love meeting people and we all try and help each other out on the market. Fellow trader Wayne Neal has been great to work alongside if I’ve ever needed anything.”

Even though the new market has gone through a difficult time since opening, especially with the recent flooding, things are starting to pick up and the traders have even organised a Table Top Sale in the large events room on Good Friday (25th March) and Easter Saturday (26th March) to attract more footfall into the Market.

For more information or to express interest in booking a table call Mal on 07885 641613.

Shades of Sentiment is open Tuesday, Friday & Saturday 9am-4pm & Thursday 9am-3pm
