Save Records

Long standing trader, Maxine Jones started working at Save Records in 1978, a mere 37 years ago!

“The business actually started in 1968, but I joined in 1978 and have been here ever since!”

Over the years we’ve had 4 retail outlets and a wholesale sister company, but now only Bury remains.”

Vinyl is making a comeback
Maxine runs the Bury stall with daughter Emma and sells LP’s, 7” single records, cassettes and DVD’s. The business has a strong sales base in CD’s, however Maxine has recently seen a rise in demand for Vinyl records. “Vinyl is making a comeback” she says. “We are being asked for it a lot and as a consequence we have increased our stock of vinyl.”

“We stock original early pressings of bands such as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and David Bowie. If we don’t have something in stock we will source it for our customers”

“We’re very competitive on price and I always love to give some discount to customers who buy a few items!” Save Records also supply record players and accessories, so if you’re going all retro and fancy the Vinyl experience, call in and chat to the experts, Maxine and Emma.
