Recipe: Teriyaki Salmon


(Ingredients for 6 servings)

• 6 salmon fillets
• 3 tbsp teriyaki sauce
• 3 tbsp hoisin sauce & 3 tbsp soy sauce
• 1 tbsp white vinegar & 1 tbsp sesame oil • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
• 2 large garlic cloves, minced
• 2 tsp grated ginger
• Sesame seeds to garnish
• Green onion, chopped


• Preheat the oven to 200c.
• Cover the baking sheet with foil.
• Mix all of the sauce ingredients in a large mixing bowl and stir until the sugar has dissolved.
• Add the salmon to the sauce, cover and let marinade for 20 minutes.
• Gently lift the salmon out of the sauce and place on the sheet.
• Bake for 12-15 minutes until the salmon is flaky and cooked through.
• During cooking time, transfer the remaining sauce to a small pan. Bring it to the boil then reduce the heat and simmer until slightly thickened (3-4 minutes).
• Remove the salmon from the oven, brush with the syrup and then sprinkle with seeds and chopped onion to taste.
