Meet The Traders

Bury Specs

Experienced trader, Mark Dimelow has worked on the Markets for over 13 years, the last 5 years on Bury Market. His latest venture, Bury Specs, provides a wide range of prescription glasses and designer frames as well as a reglazing your old frames.
“I’ve had a stall selling printer inks for quite a few years and the opportunity for this unit became available near my other stall. I’d seen a gap for selling prescription glasses at discount prices and plunged straight into it.
“It’s been a steep learning curve and I’m on my third optical lens supplier, who have over 30 years experience and are certainly the best I’ve had.”
Mark is all about giving a great service to the many customers he’s got to know over the years and looks forward to welcoming new customers on his Specs stall.

Bury Specs is located at stall T2, Gable End New, Bury Market. Open Wednesday, Friday & Saturday.

Jacket’In

New trader, Ian Hughes is hoping to make it a successful venture after taking over one of Bury Markets popular stalls at the entrance to Market Parade.

Local lad Ian remembers fondly the times he used to visit the market, “I pretty much grew up on the jacket spuds as a kid. I was looking for a change of career and when I noticed the stall had become available, I thought it was a great opportunity.”
“It was always a busy stall and without doubt served the best jacket potatoes on the Market.
“I’m keeping to the basics that a previous owner of the stall was successful with. I’ve spent a lot of time perfecting different fillings, and the timings for cooking the potatoes perfectly.
If things go according to plan, Ian next step is to introduce a breakfast menu. Watch this space!

Jacket In is located at stall 35, Market Parade, Bury Market. Open Wednesday, Friday & Saturday.
