March Update

It’s been a fantastic turn round since the arrival of Lee Clark back in February. A real solid run of performances and results has given the Shakers faithful a reason to be optimistic about staying in League 1 for another season.

The Shakers are currently sitting four points above the relegation places, after a deserving and hard fought draw against Uwe Rossler’s promotion chasing Fleetwood. It was also great to see a big crowd at Gigg with over 4,000 in attendance.

The draw means the Shakers have lost only once in eight games under Clark but have a tough run of fixtures to end the season in April, with two big local derbies against Bolton and Rochdale plus a couple of games against top 6 placed teams, Bradford and Southend.

Let’s hope we can continue the impressive form shown recently and not have a nail biting journey to Southend on the last game of the season! Come On BURY!
