Local teenager and Miss Teen Galaxy UK finalist, Freya Sheldon is continuing her charitable work by raising money for Abbie’s Army, which is a children’s DIPG brain tumour research charity

Freya is currently due to compete in Teen Crown & Glory England, where the winners move on to the national final against; Wales, Scotland, Ireland and North West England to become Crown & Glory UK Queens.

Freya said, “I’m honoured to be raising funds for Abbie’s Army and as a part of my fundraising I will be holding a charity Hollywood Ball for friends and family.”

Abbie’s Army was founded late in 2012 in loving memory of Abbie, a. brave little girl who lost her fight with DIPG brain cancer when she was just 6 years old, she passed away only 5 months after her diagnosis. Abbie’s Army is raising awareness and funding for DIPG research and helping to overturn this terminal prognosis. As well as providing a useful resource, practice advice and support for parents who receive this horrendous diagnosis for their child.
