February Update

bury-fc-header-2016-17

It’s all change at Gigg Lane as Chairman Stuart Day appoints new manager, Lee Clark from Scottish Premiership side, Kilmarnock. Clark quickly linked up with new assistant manager, Alan Thompson, who he’d previously worked with at Birmingham and Blackpool. After getting off to a winning start away at Chesterfield, Clark also wants to keep former head coach Chris Brass on his back room staff. “The staff that are already here are great boys,” Clark added. “I am looking forward to working with them, that’s for sure. Brassy will be with us going forward, he is Bury through and through.” Former assistant head coach Ryan Kidd has returned to his previous role as under-18s manager. So, it’s been another eventful month in the Shakers world. There had been signs of improvement under Chris Brass. Star striker, James Vaughen won the Sky Bet League One player of the month for January, followed by an important away win for the new manager in his first game in charge. Things are looking up and I’m already feeling optimistic! Come On BURY!
