DONT LET YOUR FOOD GO TO WASTE

It’s Recycle Week – and there are several great reasons why everyone in Bury should recycle food waste. It’s easy to do; It saves space in your rubbish bin; It’s collected more often;It saves money for other services; It’s re-used and transformed into high quality compost. Not got what you need to recycle food waste? If you don’t have a brown bin or a kitchen caddy, request a FREE brown bin, kitchen caddy and liners online at https://www.bury.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=10821.

If you already have a brown bin, but don’t have a kitchen caddy/liners: Pick them up FREE from Bury Town Hall reception, 3 Knowsley Place reception, Whittaker Street reception or collect from one of our libraries. Food waste recycling – it’s as easy as 1, 2, 3. 1.Line your kitchen caddy with a compostable liner. 2.Fill your liner with food waste. 3.When your liner is full, tie a knot at the top of your liner and put it in your brown bin.
