December Review

Most Bury supporters will be glad to see the back of 2016 after their 3-2 defeat at home to Oxford United. The Shakers have fallen in to the relegation positions after a club record-breaking losing streak of 12 straight league losses. Looking to the future, Chris Brass has been given the permanent position of head coach and Radcliffe-born Ryan Kidd as his assistant.

Chairman Stewart Day has given a vote of confidence to the new management team after seeing a slight improvement in performances since Brass and Kidd were temporarily appointed. Day said, “I believe we have the opportunity to take the club forward from appointing from within. There are several things that, I believe, we can improve on and off the field and this is why I felt that by going with Chris and Ryan we are able to get back on track to where we should be.

“I want us to win games, be successful, play attractive football and I also want performances from the team. Both Chris and Ryan know what we are looking for and what the winning culture needs to be within the club.”

It all sounds great… let’s hope we can turn things around on the pitch! Come On BURY!
