Buddys’ has done it again, putting Bury town on the map for breaking boundaries. At the end of July, seven worthy students awaited their ceremony of achievement for completing their first year in a series of three. Mayor of Bury, Jane Black was in attendance to present the awards. “This may be the only graduation some of these children see in their lifetime and they have worked extremely hard over this past year, and I wanted to reward them as I saw fit, for such dedicated students and families”, explains Jane Lord, CEO of Buddys’. Buddys’ is a charity which dedicates its proceedsto training sensory dogs (Autism service dogs) and creating therapy classes for what, in today’s society, we call “invisible disabilities” Autism and Asperges. Buddys’ charity has been in operation for four years, helping children and young adults learn the secret of social skills, emotional and behavioural intelligence and much more through group and individual therapy. If you have any interest or questions for Jane, she will be happy to help, by calling 0161 307 8328, or why not pop into Buddys’ shop in Bury, opposite the Parish church, 8 The Rock, Bury, BL9 0NT.
